Some other sailors in the MX-Ray community have been kind enough to send photos of their boats and other materials that I am happy to make available on the site. I am getting ready to put my own boat in the water in mid-summer 2006 and will be able to provide detailed photos both closeups of all the components and rigging steps, as well as on-the-water action footage, mostly at the former 1964 Olympic venue at Enoshima, about 1 1/2 hours southwest of Tokyo.

The first postings are from Simon Boyle (MX-Ray 1083) who also forwarded some interesting information on his efforts to repair and maintain this now "orphan" boat class. Thanks Simon. (As you can see, Simon also provided additional information on how to build and repair foils, which he has agreed to allow me to forward to anyone who wants a copy.)

Simon also sent very detailed and useful instructions along with the photos (below) of how he figured out to make and repair foils for the MX-Ray. I am happy to forward a copy of his instructions by PFD file, just send me an email request.
